Last Island
Named for “Isle Derniere”, once a famed resort amongst the Southern elite that was swallowed by the sea on August 10, 1856.
Last Island is a requiem—for the opulence built on stolen labor, for the ancestors who prayed for a reckoning, and for the storm that came. In 1856, the Gulf rose up and claimed the island, erasing the veritable playground of the privileged.
The land is now part of the Isle Dernières Barrier Islands Refuge, a protected wildlife sanctuary vital for nesting birds and coastal preservation. Public access is mostly restricted to protect the fragile ecosystem and some of the last barrier islands that stand between Southeast Louisiana and a hurricane. What was once a symbol of elite Southern leisure is now a quiet stronghold of nature reclaiming its place.

INGREDIENTS
SOY-FREE / CRUELTY-FREE / VEGAN
All of our products are free of phthalates, parabens, mutagens, hormone disruptors, Prop 65 restricted ingredients, or any essential oils that can be harmful to you or your pets. Our candles are made using soy-free, organic coconut/apricot wax and wooden wicks for a clean, slow & even burn.
SCENT THROW / BURN TIME
14oz candles :
- Suitable for larger rooms, high ceilings, open concept spaces, large entryways and hallways
- Burn time : 60-80+ hours with proper use and care (see below)
7oz/9oz candles :
- Perfect for more intimate spaces, i.e. bedrooms, bathrooms, offices
- For larger spaces, layer two or more with complementary fragrance notes to create a dynamic scent story
- Burn time : 30-40+ hours with proper use & care (see below)
CANDLE CARE / SAFETY
- FIRST BURN : allow enough burn time for a full and even melt pool to form. It doesn’t need to go allll the way to the edge, but closer than Creed, k? (*^ ‿ *)
- Always burn on a fire-resistant surface away from any drafts, children & pets.
- TRIM DAT WICK! Wooden wicks are not self-trimming, like cotton wicks — before re-lighting your candle, use a wick trimmer, nail clipper, or your fingers to remove previously charred material.
- Keep away from extreme heat and moisture.
- Optimal burn sessions are 2-4 hours - no more than 6 hours.
- Do not burn to the bitter end - you’re ready for a refill once you hit the last 1/4 inch of wax remaining in the jar!
